Congratulations to Leonardo Bautista, our former Gateway Scholar (2020-2021), on being accepted to pursue a Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering at UC Irvine in the fall! He also received an acceptance from Oregon State University!
We are excited to announce that Jasmin Sanchez, a Gateway Scholar (2020-2021), started her Doctorate program in Occupational Therapy at USC in Fall 2023!
Helen Salinas, a former scholar (2018-2019), was accepted to both USC and OHSU. Helen decided to attend USC, where she is now thriving in her third year of the program. Helen was selected as a GEM fellow with support from Genentech.
We are also thrilled to announce that Eilen Itzel Mena (2016-2017) will be graduating this year from UCL Slade School of Fine Art in London as an MFA graduate student. Congratulations!
Another amazing Scholar, Adriana Cabrales (2015-2016), was admitted to the University of Texas Southwestern Clinical Psychology Ph.D program and began her program in August 2021!
